Toronto, Ontario (Tuesday, November 29, 2010) - The web is about to get more interesting with a new bi-weekly web-series called ‘Straight Up’, being produced by Aara Vive and Pauline Wong of Toronto-based production company ViveBros.
The web sitcom centers on Riyad DeMario and his two roommates, Richard Park and Arvin Arora, three bachelors stumbling their ways through life. Raised in a wealthy and traditional Mexican family, Riyad longs to have a traditional family life, with a wife and children of his very own.   Except one minor problem.  He’s gay.  Richard has plenty of problems of his own.  He’s a talented actor but in major debt, having to jump from one menial job to the next.  Arvin has a love for food and is pursuing a career in culinary arts but is often impeded by various neuroses, such as overreacting to stressful situations and being a clean freak.
Filming is scheduled to commence around April 2011 and will be shot on location in Toronto. Each episode will run for approximately 10 mins and will air on various sites such as YouTube, Vimeo and MetaCafe.
